Club Tender Service Extension

Following a great suggestion from member Chris Hornsby at the General Meeting, the Board has approved an extension to the Tender Service Area.  Please refer to the new by-law below and click here for the tender service area map.   The Winter tender service hours have started, meaning the tender runs to and from the Club from 8am to 5pm daily. 

Thanks Chris, the Board is always happy to consider feedback from members. 
 
04.13      The Club Tender Service
  1. The Club offers a tender service to vessels that are listed on the Club’s Yacht Register, located on swing moorings within the tender service area and during the specified daily tender service hours.  When participating in Club organised activities, it is requested that members assist in the efficient management of this service by minimising the number of trips required to and from a boat by having crew gather at the Club first.
  2. Visiting vessels on Club moorings are offered an on-demand tender service during the specified daily tender service hours.
  3. The tender service area is defined as two separate zones:
  • Zone A (original tender service area) is the area south of the RMYC tower to the southern side of the Quays Marina and north of the area between Newport Public Wharf and Bayview Dog Park. 
  • Zone B (extended tender service area) is north of Zone A and limited by the area of water between Church Point Ferry Wharf and Vivian St Wharf (Scotland Island) and Eastern Wharf (Scotland Island) due East to the mainland.  Where possible, member are asked to provide advanced notice of the need to travel to Zone B.
  1. The tender service will prioritise service for members participating in Club organised activities. 
  2. Any use of the service outside of the above requirements will require the authority of the General Manager or Delegate and may only be on a very occasional basis.

About RPAYC

The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club - RPAYC is a yacht racing and sailing club based on Pittwater.

The yacht club offers year round inshore and offshore racing, cruising, centreboard dinghy racing, sail training and courses plus has a large marina accommodating up to 352 vessels.

There is also a modern boatyard with comprehensive marine services to help maintain your vessel.
