Great Weather for the 47th Governor’s Cup

Practice day for the Gov Cup teams brought 8 to10 knots of wind, low 70’s temperature and a casual afternoon. All the teams checked in, got to renew friendships and make new ones. Many of the racers had been here before and/or competed against each other in a variety of events throughout the world. Some of the parents have arrived as well, including John Eastman and Richard Novak from Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club.

Six MC38s emerged through the mist and rain of Sydney over the last weekend in June competing in the MC38 Harbour Regatta. Our first stop was Hamburg where we picked up our new boat for the season, it was the boat that was sailed by the German 470 girls in London, and with the crews father being the boat builder we knew it would be a very special boat.
