Division 1

Description:  The Short Ocean Pointscore Series (SOPS) offers competitors the experience of offshore day sailing with a mixture of windward/leeward and passage courses between Terrigal and Sydney. The series allows crew to experience offshore racing in a daylight environment for a competitive race experience or in preparation for longer offshore races like those in the Club Marine Blue Water Pointscore Series.
Race Format: SOPS races consist of a variety of windward/leeward offshore and passage style races.
Series:  The SOPS series is a great series for crew wishing to experience offshore sailing prior to competing in the BWPS series.
Starting Times:      Racing commences from 1200hrs.
Divisions:      There is one (1) division in the SOPS Series.
Handicap:     Scoring options include PHS; IRC and ORCi.
Special Regulations requirement: The SOPS Series is an Australian Sailing (AS) Category 4 event.

Division 1, 2, 3

Description:  The Estuary Series is held in conjunction with the SOPS program and caters for boats who do not meet Australia Sailing Category 4 standards but still wish to do some offshore racing. Racing is conducted in the vicinity of Broken Bay with courses selected from the RPAYC course list.
Race Format:  A short offshore series, starting and finishing inshore with courses set 1-2nm offshore.
Series:  The Estuary Series consists of up to eight (8) races.
Starting Times: Races start from 1315hrs.
Divisions:  This series has up to three (3) divisions
Handicap: There are a variety of scoring options including PHS; IRC and ORC.
Special Regulations requirements: The Series is an Australian Sailing (AS) Category 7 event with additional RMS NSW Maritime requirements as listed on the form.
