Christmas is almost here and the first half of the Saturday Club Pointscore is almost over with just a few races to go.The return of blue water ocean racing has been received with enthusiasm from all fleets with the Broken Bay and Short Ocean Pointscore having a combined entry list of 25 boats in Fleet 2 with 16 actively racing. “So Farr” is leading in the Short Offshore Series and may need a strategically tied bucket to give the others a chance while “Outlandish” has a very small lead over “Pegasus” and “Sweet 16” in the Broken Bay series. The Inshore Series has 10 boats entered with 8 actively racing – “Sweet 16” is leading this series with a narrow margin over “Good Form” and “Sirocco”.
If you have entered your boat and are not racing due to a shortage of crew, check the Club’s Crew Register.
The Fleet Training Day was a great success and another day may be planned for early 2010. Many thanks to Geoff Couell for his time and advice on the day.
I would like to wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and good luck to those racing to Hobart or Coffs Harbour.
Fleet 2 Captain
