Beau Geste Makes a Grand Entrance

1997 Sydney to Hobart overall winner and last year’s RPAYC Southern Cross Cup winner, Karl Kwok has entered his new Botin 80, Beau Geste in 2015 Pittwater to Coffs race.

The Hong Kong businessman entered his New Zealand made yacht into the race last night and with similar designs to the Volvo 70s, Beau Geste, given the right conditions, is tipped to break Wild Oat’s race record from 2003.

This new entrant is the largest and arguably the fastest in this year’s event. Last year’s winner, coupled with the ocean race experience, Ragamuffin, will still be the one to beat although the new entrant, Beau Geste and other TP52, Shogun V will provide strong competition for winning line honours.
