Amendment to the Sailing Instructions for Etchells Yachts (Broken Bay
Series)
Saturday 12 October, 2013
These amendments and notes are to be read in conjunction with the
general Notice of Race as published by the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht
Club in relation to the 2013-2014 season.
In relation to racing on Saturday 12 October, 2013 Section 12.0 Broken
Bay Pointscore Series - Sailing Instructions are amended to read:
Delete the following sections in their totality:
3 SCHEDULE OF RACES
5 DIVISION FLAGS
6 THE START
7 STARTING TIMES
8 THE FINISH
13 COURSES
Insert NEW:
3 SCHEDULE OF RACES
Saturday 12 October, 2013, attempt will be made to start three (3) races.
5 DIVISION FLAG
The division flag will be Etchells Class Flag.
6 THE START and FINISH
The start and finish will be approx 100 metres to the leeward of BJ mark.
Start and finish line will be between a red cherry buoy and Hornblower.
7 STARTING TIME Division / Class Scheduled Start Time
First Warning Signal - Etchells Class 1330 hours.
13 COURSES
The courses will be:
1) Start - 01 - Finish
2) Start - 01 - BJ - 01 - Finish
3) Start - 01 - BJ - 01 - BJ - 01 - Finish
4) Start - 02 - Finish
All marks are to be rounded to Port
Course number will displayed by the appropriate numeral pennant.
Competitors are reminded of the following:
1.12 Boats racing in club events must carry either an installed or
portable VHF radio. The radio must be serviceable, switched ON while
racing, and be tuned to VHF Channel 77 or for Sprint Series boats VHF
Channel 72
Transmission on Saturday 12 October will be on Channel 72
