Back 2 Alfreds & Saturday Twilight Race 3

Competitors are advised that both the Back 2 Alfreds Series and
Saturday Twilight Race 3 scheduled for Saturday 23rd February has
been abandoned and will not be rescheduled.
Bureau of Meteorology have issued at 10:36am a Gale Warning for
Sydney Closed Waters:
Gale warning for Sydney Closed Waters
Winds: East to southeasterly increasing to 25 to 30 knots during the
morning, reaching 30 to 40 knots later in the day. Seas rising 1 to 2
metres. Chance of Thunderstorms.
The combination of wind, sea, and swell conditions along the east coast
of Australia would be of high risk to competitors throughout the
weekend.
In the interest of crew safety and RPAYC Weather & Sea Conditions
Policy the decision to abandoned racing was made at 1130hrs Saturday
23rd February.
Live entertainment and kids activities will still be run from 1700hrs, all
families and friends welcome to attend. Afternoon and dinner menu
available.
