With the Club's floating marina, the RPAYC can accommodate 352 vessels up to 30 metres in length. All berths allow the vessel to dock alongside a floating pontoon giving easy access and safe berthage. All berths are serviced with 240 volt or three phase power, water and security lighting.
Protected by a floating breakwater, the marina ranges in depth alongside the berths from two metres to 15 metres, whilst the approach channel into Pittwater has a minimum depth of approximately four metres at low tide, this enables yachts and cruisers to berth at the Alfred's at all times.
The Club also offers its members 18 swing mooring facilities and all are in close proximity of the Club. Moorings are available for vessels up to 22 metres.
Twelve complimentary recreational moorings are available for Club members through the Cowan Creek and Pittwater area. These do not need to be booked and are for members to use on a first come first in basis. Yachts occupying a Club mooring must fly the Club Burgee and be on the Club's register of yachts. Click here for the locations of the RPAYC recreational moorings.
- Recreational moorings are ‘fair weather' moorings. Strong winds and high seas will affect the strength of the mooring and the ability to hold your vessel.
- Moorings are for single vessel use
- Maximum weight of vessel is limited to 20 tonnes and maximum length limited to 60 feet
- Secure the vessel to the mooring properly
- Ensure the ‘pick up' is adequately protected against chaffing, use bow roller where available
- Advise the Club immediately of any damage noted to the mooring ‘pick up'
- Check mooring position - ensure there is swing room. Lack of ‘swing room' may indicate mooring drag of the mooring you are picking up or another mooring close by. Advise Club immediately.
- Sails and self furlers should be properly secured
- Safe boating procedures should always be adhered to
