Ladies Teams Relay Regatta

Those who took part in last year’s fun and highly competitive Team’s Relay will be very pleased to hear that another Team Relay day has been scheduled for Sunday 19 September 2010.

For those who didn’t participate last year, the Regatta is open to Sydney 38’s, 11 metres and Force 24’s. Each boat must be steered by a female who is at least an ordinary member of the Club, and each boat must have no more than 30% males on the crew. The boats are entered individually, and will be allocated to a team on the day by drawing the names out of a hat. One of each boat type will make the three boats in a team, of which the Sydney 38 skipper will be team captain.

The teams will then choose which of their three boats will lead off, with the second boat starting when the first crosses the finish line, and the third when the second crosses.

There will be between three and five windward leeward races using spinnakers unless otherwise advised by the Race Officer.

Entry fee is $10 per crew member and the regatta is limited to 5 teams.

There will be  a sausage sizzle and prize giving back at the Club by 3p.m.

If you wish to enter and:

•    Own a Sydney 38 or an 11 metre, OR
•    Are female and would like to skipper on the day OR
•    Would like to crew on the day,
