Mark Descriptions 

01     Inflatable mark shall be laid 1 nm. to seaward from the BJ mark.

02     Inflatable mark shall be laid 2 nm. to seaward from the BJ mark. 

03     Inflatable mark shall be laid 3 nm. to seaward from the BJ mark. 

04     Inflatable mark shall be laid 4 nm. to seaward from the BJ mark.

08     Inflatable mark shall be laid 8 nm. to seaward from the BJ mark.

1PT   First Point. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 3329.6' S 15129.2'E.

2PT   Two Point. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33° 30.80' S 151° 27.62' E.

BGN  Bungan Head. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33° 41.30' S. 151° 21.20' E.

BH     Box Head.  Inflatable mark shall be laid East of Lion Island. Approximate 330 33.25' S 151020.35' E

BJ      Barrenjoey.  Inflatable mark shall be laid North-East from Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Approximate 33o34.4’ S 151o20.4’ E

BBE   Broken Bay Entrance.  Yellow conical Waterways mark situated North from Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Approximate 33o34.4’ S 151o19.8’ E

CV     Clareville. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated North-West of Avalon Sailing Club.

EB    Ellis Buoy. Inflatable mark laid to the west of the Clareville mark.

FS     Flint & Steel. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33o  34.1' S 151o 17.4' E, North-East of Flint & Steel Point.

FSW Flint & Steel Wide. Inflatable mark laid at approximately at 33o  33.9' S 151o 17.7' E, North of Commodore Heights & Nth West of West Head.

J        Juno. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated 100m East of Juno Point.

LI      Lion Island The summit of Lion Island situated between West Head and Box Head.

LN     Longnose. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated South West of Longnose Point.

LR     Long Reef. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33o  45.00' S 151o 22.00' E, 10 n.m. South-East of Barrenjoey Headland.

MB     Mackerel Beach. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated between Currawong and Great Mackerel Beach.

MR    Maitland Reef. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 330 33.6’S 1510 22.15’E

NR     Newport Reef. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33o  39.4' S 151o 20.3' E, 4.5 n.m. South of Barrenjoey Headland.

P       Patonga Mark. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33o 33.4' S, 151o 16.7' E, South of Eastern Point or Brisk Bay.

PB     Palm Beach Mark. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 33o 35.7' S, 151o 20.5' E.

PW    Pittwater Weather. Inflatable mark shall be laid to windward of the Starting Line at a distance of 0.5 to 1 nm.

RP     Rocky Point. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated between Rocky Point and Woody Point.

SDP   Soldiers Point. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated off Soldiers Point.

SO     Southerly Offshore. Inflatable mark laid approximately 1.8 nautical miles from MR at the bearing given from the Committee Vessel.

SL     Starting Line. Inflatable mark shall be a mark of the Starting Line.

SP     Stokes Point. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated approximately 200 metres North-West of Stokes Point.

SPC   Salt Pan Cove. Inflatable mark laid approximately North-West of Salt Pan Cove Maritime Beacon, towards Scotland Island.

TB     Towlers Buoy. A yellow conical Waterways mark is situated approx. 400 metres from the shoreline in Morning Bay (Towlers Bay).

TGL   Terrigal. Inflatable mark laid approximately at 3326.6' S 15130.0'E.

TP     Taylors Point. Yellow conical Waterways mark situated to the North West of Taylors Point Wharf.

W      Windward.   An orange inflatable mark laid approximately 1.5 nm to seaward of the starting line at the bearing displayed from the Committee Vessel.

WH    West Head. Inflatable mark laid approximately midway between First Head and Shark Rock (Barrenjoey and West Head).

WM   Wing Mark. Inflatable mark shall form part of a right-angled triangle with BJ and 02 forming the hypotenuse. The approximate bearing from 02 to WM shall be the bearing displayed from the Committee Vessel minus 135o.

WP    Walker Point. A yellow concial mark situated 200 meters north east of Walker Point between Little Patonga & Patonga.
