Description

After Completing the Tackers program the Optimist Green Fleet is the next step in your child's sailing progression. After becoming a member and acquiring a fibre glass optimist, sailors are introduced to the basic concepts of racing in the Optimist Intro Green Fleet. Intro Green fleet runs from 09:00 - 11:00 on Sunday mornings. Once sailors are competent, they can move into Optimist Green Fleet where they put their skills learnt in Intro Green Fleet into practice, joining in Sunday afternoon racing with other Centreboard sailors and classes. Optimist Green Fleet is a critical step in the sailor's pathway to progress, this is where they will experience their first taste of real centreboard racing with the safety of a nearby coach and safety boats.
